The Socket Controller is an IoT ‘smart switch’ with advanced features. It allows control of two socket outlets using a simple web interface.

  • Temperature based triggering: Control a heater, based on accurate temperature readings.
  • Current draw based triggering: Power on a TV and Sound system, only when a main computer is drawing over a set power level.
  • Current draw based triggering: Power on a pool ozone system, only when a solar pump is not running.

Sensors

Currently two sensors have been developed. Each sensor can be set to either of two selectable addresses.

Environmental Sensor

  • Humidity & temperature sensor + light sensor.
  • Programmable push button.
  • Housed in a vented enclosure.

Thermocouple sensor

  • Screw terminals for thermocouple connection.
  • Housed in a plastic enclosure.
  • Protection circuits included.
